Statement of Beliefs
1. THE HOLY TRINITY
There is one true God. He exists as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit together in three persons (called the Holy Trinity).
2. THE BIBLE
The Bible is the true word of God, recorded by man yet inspired by God and is 100% accurate in the original manuscripts.
3. THE VIRGIN BIRTH
Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, was born of a virgin, by the power of the Holy Spirit.
4. THE LIFE AND DEATH OF JESUS
Jesus walked this earth, performed many miracles, then suffered and died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins.
5. THE RESURRECTION
God resurrected (raised) Jesus from the dead.
6. MAN’S SINFUL NATURE
Man has a sinful nature, all have sinned and there is no one righteous.
7. THE HOLY SPIRIT
The person, work, renewing power and transforming influence of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer.
8. SALVATION THROUGH JESUS ALONE
One cannot earn one’s way to heaven just by trying to be good. Belief in and acceptance of Jesus as one’s Savior is the only way for sinners to obtain forgiveness of sins, to be cleansed of those sins, to obtain salvation, to avoid hell and to be made worthy to go to heaven.
9. SATAN
The reality of Satan (the devil, formerly Lucifer, who in his pride and arrogance rebelled against the Lord), who is the destroyer, murderer, thief, the father of lies, the hater of good, the accuser, the leader of all the fallen angels who also rebelled against God, and who is actively engaged in efforts to distort God’s truth, to lead mankind astray, to rob mankind of the knowledge of God and salvation, and to hurt mankind in endlessly malicious attacks.
10. THE JEWISH PEOPLE
The selection of the Jews as God’s chosen people; through whom He blessed all nations with the inspired writing of Scripture and the human ancestry of Christ; who will in large part as a people accept and be reconciled to the Lord after the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and whose re-gathering as a nation in their own God-given land is the key factor signaling the nearness of the Second Coming.
11. THE SECOND COMING
The personal and soon return of Jesus Christ in the pre-tribulation Rapture (when Jesus comes in the clouds, snatching away Christians and innocents who will all be changed, along with the resurrected dead and be taken to heaven) and seven years later on earth when He comes in power and glory as the conquering King and defeats all evil.
12. HEAVEN
The reality of heaven, the unimaginably joyful and magnificent eternal abode of the triune God, the faithful angels, the saved (Christians) and the innocents; where believers will be rewarded for all their righteous acts (good works) and will glory in the fellowship of the Lord and their believing loved ones; where there will be no pain, tears, sickness, loneliness, sin, or fear, but only goodness, happiness, beauty, good health, strength, intelligence, satisfaction and eternal joy.
13. HELL
The reality, damnation and blackest darkness of hell, its being the eternal abode of Satan, his demons and the resurrected lost (unbelievers), where they will experience separation from God and the intense loneliness, sorrow, pain, thirst and regret of their unredeemed lives and their rejection of God.
14. THE MILLENNIUM
The thousand-year reign of the Lord on earth (after the Battle of Armageddon), during which the earth's inhabitants will experience peace and joy; ending with a final battle with/final defeat of Satan; followed by the creation of a new heaven and a new earth for believers.
