. . . The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul . . .
Ps 23:1-3

___A good shepherd is concerned about all of his sheep. He leads them to places where there is food and water for them and where they can find rest. If they hurt themselves, he tends to their wounds and he comforts them. He watches over them and guides them away from danger. When enemies come, he is willing to give his life to protect his sheep.
___Did you know that Jesus is also known as "the Good Shepherd"? Believers are the little lambs of Jesus and He loves us very much. Remember if you ever, ever feel lost or afraid, pray to Jesus and ask Him to help you. Even if you have done something you think is very bad, Jesus still cares! No matter how far away we may stray, Jesus always wants us to return to Him (Ezek 34:16). In fact, our Good Shepherd gave his life so believers could join Him in His heavenly kingdom (Luke 12:32). Just tell Him you are sorry for what you did and try to do better. He will joyfully welcome you back into His arms!

Mat 18:12-14 " . . . If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost."
Is 40:11 . . . He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart . . .
John 10:11 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."
